For 100 years, 441 Washington Street served as a Catholic High School. Today, our historic venue in Olde Towne Portsmouth, Virginia, hosts private and corporate events, weddings, receptions, and community gatherings–aiming to make each event a seamless experience that fills guests with warmth, joy, and lasting memories. Giovanni Donatelli
Owner, Founder
Giovanni Donatelli is founder of The Language Group, an award winning, international language services corporation based in Virginia Beach, VA, with additional offices in Hamburg, Germany. Giovanni founded the company in 1999 and is now listed as one of the leading Language Services Companies in the world.
A native of Pescara, Italy, Mr. Donatelli was raised in Portsmouth, VA and spent many years attending Portsmouth Catholic Regional School and Portsmouth Catholic High School which he credits for shaping him into the person he is today. Due to the school's closing, he graduated from Churchland High School. Mr. Donatelli received his MBA from the College of William and Mary and received his BS in Finance from Virginia Tech.
He purchased the architecturally restored former school building to preserve its history and create a legacy landmark venue in his childhood neighborhood of Olde Towne Portsmouth. Gio resides currently at the Virginia Beach Oceanfront.
